Professional Skills and Leadership Development

Another step in obtaining new professional skills as well as gaining confidence through leadership is participation as a committee member or chairperson.  The newfound traits acquired from active involvement translate into positive career growth.

Choosing to become involved on a committee is a beneficial opportunity to network with fellow members and develop an enhanced understanding of how the chapter operates.

Committee positions are either a one-time commitment or a few hours each month, depending on your interest.  After completing a term as a committee member, why not expand upon this knowledge and leadership potential through assuming the role of chairperson?

Serving on a variety of committees is a valuable addition to a resume.
