Additional Program and Speaker Notes:
This program is for any professional woman who feels too busy, stressed out, overwhelmed, tired, unorganized, over-extended, under-paid (well I can't do anything about that), or like she's spinning her wheels!

Have you ever felt any of the above?  It's so easy to happen as a busy, professional woman.  In fact, I think it is tougher as a professional woman out there than it is for a man.  Why?  Because we have a totally different set of strategies.  I've learned and tested those strategies, and I'd love to share them with you!

Bonus - The Family Meeting:  A Six Step program that allows BUSY, working moms to integrate work time, family time and "me" time so everyone is on board.  Even if you're not a mom, you'll learn tricks and tips that will help you plan your week for optimum effectiveness!  If you've got a family, this section CAN'T BE MISSED!

Learn my radical approach for busy, professional women to stay productive and focused, so you can prioritize your life, get done what must get done, and move on to bigger projects and more meaningful goals!

Welcome

President's Welcome

Welcome to the Tulsa Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) website. Our chapter provides an opportunity for administrative professionals to grow and meet the demands of today’s office environment. Throughout the year we provide educational opportunities on a variety of topics – including technology, communication skills, leadership, and personal growth.

IAAP is a non-profit 501 (c)(6) professional association with approximately 40,000 members and affiliates, and nearly 700 chapters worldwide. IAAP has members in most Fortune 500 companies, hundreds of mid-to small-sized businesses, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and federal, state, and local government agencies.

For over 50 years, IAAP has provided up-to-date research on office trends, cutting-edge publications, outstanding seminars and conferences, and valuable resources to help administrative professionals enhance their skills and become more effective contributors to their employers.

We promote the two IAAP certification designations; Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) and Certified Administrative Professional (CAP); and we offer various professional workshops as opportunities to acquire the knowledge to pass these two certification exams. These workshops are open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Please join us the first Thursday of each month (with the exception of January) @ 5:45 PM at Holiday Inn Tulsa - City Center at 17 West 7th Street, Tulsa (Corner of 7th and Boulder downtown - 2nd floor meeting rooms) where you will enjoy our professional education programs and where you will be given an opportunity to network and share best practices with like-minded professionals. You need not be a member to attend. Cost is $15 for members and $18 for guests (includes dinner).

Attend one of our meetings, and discover how valuable networking and personal growth is to your profession; and remember, first time guests must register and Tulsa Chapter members must RSVP prior to each meeting by filling out our form on the right.

Respectfully Yours,
Regina G. Thompson
Chapter President

Additional Program and Speaker Information

Lacey Taylor is from Owasso, Oklahoma and attended college at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.  She graduated from OU in December 2008 with a degree in Public Relations.  Lacey was hired at Peak Up Time in April 2009 as the Marketing Intern, then became the SMART Certified Trainer in August 2009.

This presentation will demonstrate the basic functions and purposes of the SMARTboard Interactive Whiteboard.  In a business setting, the SMARTboard allows for an engaging, collaborative meeting or interactive client presentation.  In a classroom setting, the SMARTboard enhances curriculum through the use of interactive software and creates instant student engagement.  Lacey will demonstrate examples of both settings, as well as other products you can use with the SMARTboard.
