Just Checking In
Hello Arkansas-Oklahoma Division!

I hope that everyone is doing well and staying healthy. Your Division Officers are excited to be visiting the Norman, OK Embassy Suites March 11 where the 55th Annual Meeting will take place. We will be meeting with the American Fidelity host chapter and be touring the facility to make sure we bring you an exciting and eventful annual meeting. We hope that you are logging in frequently to our website www.iaap-ao.org and keeping up to date with the Word of the Week and other things that are going on.

We are also looking forward to visiting the Razorback Chapter later this month, February 26. We will be presenting "Succession Planning" to the chapter members. If you have a meeting that you do not have a speaker for please invite us. We'd love to visit all our chapters and for you to hear this presentation.

You should have received an e-mail over the weekend from HQ regarding scholarships to EFAM for first time attendees. If you've never been to EFAM, it is a wonderful learning experience with an opportunity to network and attend educational seminars that apply to your job. It is also a place to hear great keynote speakers and see how business is conducted at the International level. We had one of our very own Valerie Asbury attend last year on a scholarship. You never know who will be selected, but the deadline is approaching fast. Applications must be submitted by February 28.

While you are logged into the website, check out the member of excellence page to see if you have met the requirements for becoming a Member of Excellence. You don't have to wait until June to apply. I encourage you to go ahead and submit your information and get that item off your to-do list. As you qualify for Member of Excellence, you are helping the A-O Division attain Division of Excellence.

Lastly, Division President Cheryl Cook CAP-OM and I are looking forward to representing the A-O Division at The Futures Conference in Anaheim, CA next month. We are grateful that we were chosen to be a part of this event and want to ask our members for questions or concerns that we can take with us. We do not know what our schedule will be like yet, so we are not sure how the conference will be orchestrated. However, if you feel passionately about something or have an idea of how to improve something please let us know. We don't mind taking concerns to make HQ aware of issues, but this conference is about our future and any complaints should be followed with suggestions for improvement.

Please know that your Division Officers are here for you. If you have anything you need help with please don't hesitate to ask us.
