    If you are new to IAAP, you can join online.  Be sure to check that you will be joining at the Chapter level. If you are interested in transferring your membership from another chapter to our chapter or you are a Member-At-Large, Click here for the transfer form.

    The Greenspoint Area Chapter is participating in the optional IAAP 70/70 Membership Promotion. New professional members and any former member who has been in non-member status for two years or longer can join the Greenspoint Area Chapter between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 for the reduced membership rate of $70 plus a $15 processing fee. T-L Division dues: $5.00; T-L Division number: 5-59-000; GAC’s Dues: $5.00; GAC’s Chapter number: 5-59-279; International dues: $75.00.

    After the first year’s promotional dues, the dues will return to their normal levels, which are T-L Division dues: $15; T-L Division number: 5-59-000; GAC’s dues: $18.50; GAC’s Chapter number: 5-59-279.

    In the Spotlight

    Jackie Beelar joined GAC IAAP in February 2009. She earned the CPS designation in November 2009 and the CAP in May 2011. Jackie is the 2011-2012 Program Chair for GAC and is also Chairing the committee for the Chocolate Cargo Bag Raffle to be held at the 2012 T-L Division Annual Meeting in May.

    Jackie is an Executive Assistant at Southwestern Energy Company where she supports the CFO and COO. She will celebrate 11 wonderful years with Southwestern this May. Her duties include lots of planning, organizing and just plain making things happen. She believes that if you can “think” it she can make it happen. What she loves most about her job are the great people she works with.

    For your health: Recognizing Burnout Before It Flares

    Do you feel constantly tired and irritated by work?

    Burnout’s symptoms are as varied as those who suffer it.  Some people get angry, some become quiet and introverted, while others overeat or abuse drugs and alcohol.  If your job is stressful, it’s important to find out if you’re headed for job burnout.  Some common pressures include job demands, changes in the workplace or unbalanced work-family time.
