The following events are Chapter Sponsored which are the events the Chapter would love any and all members to particpate in this year.
Fight Against Hunger
- Saturday, October 29, 2011
- Location is United Way Building off of Gladiolus Drive
- Each shift is 2 hours and you are welcome to stay longer.
- Sign up sheet will be at October meeting.
- Over 75,000 meals will be packed.
Collect Box Tops for Education/Avery Challenge – Bayshore Elementary
- Contest for the three members who collect the most box tops
- Will submit forms to IAAP National for Challenge by April 30, 2012
- Each Box Tops for Education is worth 10¢ for the school

Ronald McDonald House
- Five or six members meet on selected Saturdays to prepare dinner at the house. Everyone chips in on affordable meal to feed
approximately twelve.
- Turn in soda tabs when going there to prepare dinner. Not a contest this year.
- First dinner scheduled for Sept 17, 2011
Military Support thru LMHS
Members are asked to bring the following items to meetings:
- Coupons for military families (can be expired up to 3 months)
- Wet wipes
- Bubble gum/hard candy
- Toilet paper
- Ramon noodles: chicken flavor
- Meat in pouches: tuna, chicken, salami, beef jerky, pepperoni
- Lip balm/chap stick
- Suntan lotion
- Snack packs: fruit, pudding, cheese, crackers
- Needs may be updated thru year
- Nov. - Christmas items: spray snow, small stocking items
Items will be collected at the monthly meetings and Nan will deliver to Military Support Dept. the next morning.
Dress for Success
- Collect clothing and accessories during Oct. and Nov.
- Items will be given to the speaker at the Nov. meeting.
