Capital Chapter
members are involved in a wide variety of community projects. Below are some member community service activities :
Hands on Central Texas: This gives you the opportunity to
browse through many different opportunities to volunteer.
Komen Race for the Cure: The Komen Austin Race for the
Cure® raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against
breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have
lost their battle with the disease.
Odyssey Health
Care: Melissa Huffmaster CPS has a patient that she visits with; they talk,
or she reads to her, or whatever the patient wants to do. It is hard when they
pass, but it is also very rewarding and Melissa feels good knowing that they had
someone they could talk to about their feelings and whatever is on their mind
outside of family.
Special Olympics Texas (SOTX): This link will take you to the
volunteer page and to our region. There are lots of opportunities coming up and
once you volunteer with this organization you are
hooked!
