Wow … May is here! This year has really flown by and here we are again – Elections Month. I hope that you will all seriously consider getting more involved in the activities of the chapter. You can only get out of it what you put into it. You can find out more on page 2 and contact Linda Allicock directly for more information. Please note that nominations are due by May 9^th, 2012. There is an interesting article about Maximizing Membership in Professional Societies that I found on www.careersblog.com – this will help you with your decision on becoming more active in our Chapter.

    We are looking forward to having Bonnie Wooding with us at the May Chapter meeting. Bonnie is the former President of the Toronto Chapter and will be talking about starting your own business as a Virtual Assistant. This may not be something that interests you now, but is certainly information we should all have for future opportunities.

    May is also the month that we celebrate our Moms and our families celebrate us! Happy Mother’s Day!

    Please remember that we need a minimum of eleven members to cover the basic meeting costs.         We look forward to seeing you all at the next two meetings. We are also looking at some new ideas to make the meetings more meaningful to our members and thank those of you that have taken the time to share your thoughts through email and the surveys that we have been running.
