Hi, Barbara!

Thank you for sharing your spreadsheet template and the responses from your Division.  I look forward to receiving Toni's report with all the responses and sharing that with my chapter presidents.  I know there will be a lot of good ideas the chapters can benefit from, and I expect many will have shared the same sensitivities and frustrations.

Have a great weekend!

Below is an email message that was recently sent to CA Division Chapter Presidents.  I have attached the Your California Division Board at Work for You document.

Hello Chapter Presidents,

At the end of August the CA Division Board met from Thursday thru Sunday for the Annual Retreat.  To give membership a glimpse into the workings of the Board we have developed a document similar to the International Action-Direction.  Attached is the first edition of Your California Division Board at Work for You.

Each month the division board has a conference call and as topics are discussed and decisions are made you will get a new edition.

Please cascade this message to your chapter membership - and cc: me on your distribution.

Hi Lynda,

The Pathways to Excellence Program (P2E) was a great success!  I had the opportunity to serve on the P2E Sub-committee last year, and was appointed again to serve on this committee along with Sharron Buttler CPS/CAP, Canada District Director and Joy Johnston, Sr. Manager IAAP Membership.  Just the other day we created a Pathways to Excellence e-Group for discussions and questions such as this.

It was decided last year that there would be no changes to the program criteria during the second year.  The exceptions would be for language clarifications and housekeeping efforts, such as changing the wording on Criteria #15 to remove "Impact" and adding "Member Recruitment."  As long as a chapter holds at least one Member Recruitment event during the year they would qualify for Criteria #15.

I have a question concerning the IMPACT meetings...Susan Shamali mentioned at the Thursday morning seminar that these meetings were not longer going to be held...did I hear her correctly? If so, how will that affect the Chapter of Excellence criteria?

IAAP Members:

The Pathways to Excellence program was a great success!  Let's get it started again for the 2009-2010 year.  The criteria for the program are the same.  EVERYONE has an opportunity to achieve excellence!

Make a commitment today and just follow the steps below:
1.  Create a personal file for your documented information.
2.  Download, print and sign your Commitment Form and place it in your file.
3.  Review the program criteria listing and identify ones you have already met, and then focus on areas to strive for to achieve excellence.

If you have questions you may post them to the new Pathways to Excellence e-Group site.  Your question just may be the same question other members are having.  Let's focus on the "Power of Commitment" by making a commitment to achieve excellence!

Best regards...Toni
