I get it, you’re good at what you do – but are you remarkable? Do you really stand out as “one of the best”? And if you’ve been doing your job for a while now (lets say, over five years), how do you know if you are that good anymore? Are you relying on your own self-taught skills to make you remarkable? The reality is that we learn on the job. We learn as the tasks get sent our way. There isn’t a “manual” on what this job means anymore. The administrative role isn’t what it used to be. It probably isn’t what it was when you started – and it certainly won’t look like this in 10 years either. Are you keeping up? We often don’t get a lot of opportunity to attend training, to keep our skills cutting edge, or even know how we compare in the marketplace.     Insightful … humorous … entertaining … even contagious … words that are often used to describe Rhonda Scharf.  A speaker with the uncanny ability to look at the normal and see something quite different. 

    As an IAAP member of the Ottawa Chapter for over 15 years, Rhonda is a full-time Professional Speaker, Trainer and Author specializing in administrative professionals, and well known at IAAP in both Canada and the US.   She has spoken to tens of thousands of people in 10 different countries.  In 2004 Rhonda served as the National President of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), has served on the Board of the Global Speakers Federation and is named in the 2014 edition of “Who’s Who in Professional Speakers” (where she has been listed since 1998).  

    Rhonda has been earning money from speaking since she was two years old!  Her mother used to offer her 25 cents to be quiet for five minutes.  Since that time she has figured out how to get clients to pay her to speak and to not be quiet.  Her mother and her family still don’t understand why.
    Rhonda has earned the highest speaking designation in the world, the "Certified Speaking Professional" designation (CSP), of which Canada has only 60 recipients (and Rhonda was Canada’s 3rd female recipient).
